[PH Case Study] Reduction of Sand Mold Maintenance Frequency and Extension of Lifespan
Solve your problems related to mold wear with composite surface treatment plasma hardening!
We would like to introduce a case where the issue of wear in sand molds used in the manufacturing process of water-washable products was resolved through "Plasma Hard" treatment. The customer in this case was facing severe wear on their molds. They were replacing their cast iron (FCD400) molds and conducting regular maintenance, but the effort and costs were significant, and they expressed a desire to achieve maintenance-free operation if possible. By utilizing nitriding that does not generate a compound layer and our original PVD coating film, we improved adhesion, reduced maintenance frequency, and extended the lifespan of the molds. 【Case Overview】 ■ Challenges and Background Faced by the Customer - Replacing cast iron molds and conducting regular maintenance - Significant effort and costs, with a desire for maintenance-free operation ■ Our Solution - Changed to composite surface treatment "Plasma Hard" - Reduced wear and decreased maintenance frequency *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.
